Colin Banas, M.D., M.H.A.,is the Chief Medical Officer at DrFirst. He is an internal medicine hospitalist and former Chief Medical Information Officer at VCU Health. He focuses on big data’s impact on patient outcomes and innovative clinical decision support. He has testified before the U.S. Senate and is a former Health IT Fellow for the ONC (Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information). In 2017, Colin received the HIMSS-AMDIS (Applied Medical Director of Information Systems) Physician Executive of the Year award.
