About Our Guest

Dr. Joel Salamon serves as the Medical Director of Pain Management. He graduated from the University of Chicago and earned his medical degree from the University of Miami School of Medicine. Following this, he completed his internship and anesthesia residency at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Subsequently, he underwent fellowship training in pain management at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

Dr. Salamon is board-certified in anesthesiology with a subspecialty certification in pain management. He is also board-certified in pain management by the American Board of Pain Medicine. He has been nominated three times for the Florida Choice Award for Best Pain Management Physician, which recognizes excellence in workers’ compensation medical care, winning it once.

Dr. Salamon is highly knowledgeable in a wide range of pain management treatments. He specializes in interventional procedures such as epidural steroid injections, facet injections, sympathetic blocks, radiofrequency and neuroablative procedures, and intradiscal procedures. He has a particular interest in spinal cord stimulation and intrathecal drug delivery and has also worked as an instructor for Medtronic Corporation, teaching these procedures to other physicians.
