Dr. Colin Banas

Dr. Colin Banas joined DrFirst as Chief Medical Officer in 2019 after spending 17 years as Chief Medical Information Officer at VCU Health System, where he also practiced as an internal medicine hospitalist. He has testified before the U.S. Senate and the Office of the National Coordinator on health IT and Meaningful Use, and previously served as a Health IT Fellow at the ONC.
At DrFirst, Colin drives innovation in medication workflows, focusing on non-disruptive decision support that creates better experiences for providers and patients. He’s particularly interested in how AI can reduce clinical burnout and improve patient outcomes.
Colin received the 2017 HIMSS-AMDIS Physician Executive of the Year award. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia, an M.D. from Eastern Virginia Medical School, and an M.H.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Jenna Hagan

Jenna Hagan is Vice President of Product Marketing at NextGen Healthcare, where she helps shape product marketing strategy across the company’s healthcare software portfolio. She works alongside product, sales, and marketing teams to support go-to-market execution, product adoption, and market positioning across the healthcare continuum.
With a background spanning clinical operations and healthcare administration, Jenna has strong fluency in practice management systems, revenue cycle work-flows, and the financial and administrative realities of running a successful ambu-latory practice. She has contributed to cross-functional pre-sales efforts, supported enterprise client engagements, and built strong relationships with partner organiza-tions.
Jenna has deep expertise in practice management, patient experience, and financial solutions, with an increasing focus on the practical application of AI in healthcare. Her work centers on helping translate AI-enabled capabilities—such as intelligent automation, data-driven insights, and workflow-embedded tools—into meaningful operational and clinical impact for healthcare organizations.
